Metro Lines is a simple matching game based on a grid-style board. Circles in different colors are randomly placed on the board and you need to move one circle at a time. In your basic easy mode, once you match three circles of the same color either vertically, horizontally, or sideways in a set of three or more, the circles will clear. If you successfully clear a set of circles you can then move another circle. If your move results in no match, then a few more random circles will appear.
There are three difficulty settings along with an Endless and Time Driven mode which are self-explanatory. In Easy mode is a 4x4 grid, Normal is a 6x6 grid, and Hard is a 8x8 grid. Along with the larger grid, in Normal, you need to match at least four same-colored circles to clear them and in Hard you need to string at least five circles of the same color. One thing to note is that when you tap on a circle, then tap on an empty space to move the circle, there needs to be a clear path to that location.
As the name suggests, Easy mode is relatively easy and can be fun for quick game play without too much thinking. Normal will get your brain working to strategize and try to plan your moves while Hard seems almost impossible to survive for long.
Metro Lines is a solid puzzle game which is simple to learn and play but you can always ramp up the difficulty to challenge yourself. The graphics are simple and something like vector graphics with vibrant colors could give it that additional pop. Also, there's no sound effects or background music. Still, Metro Lines is a fun time-killer worth giving a try.
Pros : Simple yet solid puzzle gaming
Cons : Graphics are plain, no sound effects/music
