The Facebook (Version 1.0)

If you're like most users, you'll have a Facebook app on your phone. And like most users, you're dissatisfied with the Microsoft version of Facebook. The MSFT store has a ton of Facebook apps from third-party developers, and it still amazes me how one of the most widely used social networking services doesn't have a decent app. It's true that there a few decent ones available, but the fact that they charge for it puts me off. I understand that the developers need support, but this is a basic app that should be free in my opinion.
Finally, there is a decent app that provides a "touch" version of Facebook. Released today is "The Facebook". The app loads nice and quick and scrolling is equally smooth. I'm honestly not a hardcore user of Facebook so the Microsoft version worked well enough for me most of the time but I prefer the look of this "touch" version. Most of your basic features are available such as posting updates with photos and check-ins. One feature that's a nice addition is the ability to select from four different tile styles. The only thing that needs to be fixed is if you load comments and press the back button it loads the feed back from from the top.
If you're not happy with Microsoft's version of Facebook, I would definitely give this Facebook app a try. It's similar to many of the other paid Facebook apps but as of today's release date it's free so go ahead and give it a spin.
Pros : Smooth, solid, free
Cons : Feed reloads from top if you go back from comments
